In Ukraine, prices for watermelons and melons in supermarkets and markets have changed. The season for watermelons and melons has finally begun, delighting Ukrainians with their juiciness. Everyone has been eagerly waiting for this time of year to enjoy vitamins and refresh themselves on hot days.

In difficult times, every penny counts, so consumers have become more careful in their choices, comparing prices and seeking better conditions.

Market research indicates significant differences in prices between supermarkets and markets. Although prices in supermarkets are higher, there is a greater selection with clear price tags.

Prices in Supermarkets

Regular watermelons cost between 15.50 to 18.90 UAH per kilogram, while premium varieties range from 27.90 to 52.99 UAH. Melons are offered at a wide price range, from 43.70 to 59.90 UAH per kilogram for Ukrainian varieties, and from 50 to 79.90 UAH for Uzbek ones.

Prices at Markets

In markets, Ukrainian watermelons and melons are sold cheaper - from 14 to 18 UAH per kilogram. Uzbek melons cost from 50 to 65 UAH per kilogram, allowing for profitable purchases in larger quantities.

Ukrainians have the option to choose where to buy watermelons and melons - in more expensive supermarkets or in markets where prices are somewhat more affordable.
