Ukraine has received 211,800 doses of the combined vaccine against measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) for free vaccination of children according to the Vaccination Schedule. The vaccine is already at the national warehouse and will be distributed to all regions. Ukraine receives these vaccines as part of the cooperation between the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance). The delivery of vaccines to the country is carried out by UNICEF Ukraine, and the Public Health Center of Ukraine coordinates their distribution to regional centers for disease control and prevention (CDC).

Measles, mumps, and rubella are highly contagious diseases with the risk of severe complications, so vaccination is the only effective protection. From 2026, the second dose of the measles vaccine will be given to children at the age of 4 to protect them even earlier.

For vaccinating a child, one can contact a family doctor, pediatrician, or the nearest medical facility. All vaccinations according to the Schedule are free of charge. If a child has missed vaccination, the doctor will help to catch up.
