The discharged police officer was taken to the military enlistment office in Uzhhorod
Yesterday in Uzhhorod an unexpected event occurred - Ivan Beletskyi, a former police officer, appeared at the territorial recruitment center after being dismissed for standing up for a veteran during a conflict. Local resident Myroslava Kopynets said she witnessed the entire situation and provided her personal comment.
Law enforcement officers in masks without identification signs detained Beletskyi on Secheni Street and took him to the recruitment center. There he tried to document the events, but they obstructed him and hit his hands. They also spoke with Beletskyi's wife, Iryna Patskan, who confirmed that her husband was taken to the recruitment center.
According to information from the recruitment center, Beletskyi was sought for violations of service discipline and failure to timely update his personal data. Nevertheless, he passed the medical commission and was returned to service in the unit for further service.
The head of 'Carpathian Sich,' Taras Deiak, believes that Beletskyi's dismissal was unjust and illegal. According to him, Beletskyi was not involved in any violations or investigations related to the veteran Oleksandr Usenko.
Information
Ivan Beletskyi defended a war veteran who suffered violence at the recruitment center. This led to his dismissal from the police and the initiation of an investigation. Currently, Beletskyi has been sent for military service.
It is worth mentioning that recently in Odesa a case of bribery by a recruitment center official was uncovered.
Comments from local residents and organizational leaders demonstrate a dissonance between the official attitude towards Ivan Beletskyi and the support for his actions in defense of the veteran. The case continues to unfold, but there are no clear conclusions yet regarding the future of the former police officer.
