Fare Increase in Uzhgorod: What the City Council Says
The city council reminds that the current fare is 15 UAH and was last raised in June 2024. Petro Bobik, head of the Transport Department of the city council, emphasizes: carriers do not have the right to independently set new tariffs.
He notes:
«This issue must be processed and submitted to the executive committee by the City Economic Development Department. As well as the price of the increased fare ticket, which will allow the introduction of differentiated fare».
According to Bobik, the department has been delaying the preparation of the decision for a long time.
The future of the fare will depend on the decision of the executive committee, which is currently being prepared.
