In Uzhhorod, from the evening of May 9 to the evening of May 10, traffic will be partially restricted due to the "Krayna Uzhhorod Marathon". The city will also temporarily change the traffic patterns of several bus routes and organize reverse traffic on certain sections of the roads. This is reported by the Uzhhorod City Council.

Which roads will be closed in Uzhhorod

Traffic will be restricted from 21:00 on May 9 to 17:00 on May 10 in the square of Sandor Petefi near school No. 9.

The closure will be in effect on the section from the intersection with Alexander Mitrak Street to the intersection with Ivan Chendey Street.

The city council warned that during the marathon, traffic will be complicated on some roads. Reverse traffic will be organized on certain segments.

The races will take place on May 10 from 08:00 to 16:00 through the Petefi Square, Freedom Avenue, Mynai Street, and the territory of Uzhhorod district.

How bus routes will be changed

On May 10, the movement of buses No. 18, No. 20, and No. 156 will temporarily change.

Boarding and disembarking of passengers will be transferred to the establishment "Pronto Pizza" near the House of Household Services. The new temporary stop will operate approximately 100 meters from the "School No. 9" stop.

After that, buses will travel around the closed section through Sandor Petefi Square near the building of the Department of Social Policy.

In this section, two-way traffic will be temporarily organized with further exit to Ivan Chendey Street.

The city council asked drivers and passengers to consider the changes when planning trips around the city.

In Uzhhorod, sports events and marathons are regularly accompanied by temporary closures of the central streets and changes in public transport routes.

For city residents, this means possible traffic jams and longer travel times during May 9-10.

It is reminded that in Uzhhorod, private and municipal carriers have appealed to the city council with a request to raise the fare in public transport to 18 hryvnias.
