The Women's Futsal Team of Ukraine has already kicked off its training camp in Uzhhorod. This is reported by UAF.
Before the start of the camp, a meeting took place where the president of the AFU, Serhiy Vladyko, introduced the new coach Oleksandr Zolotukhin.
The team currently consists of 18 players, including both experienced athletes and those playing for the national team for the first time.
The team is preparing for friendly matches against Norway in December, adapting to the new coaching staff.
“We got to know the girls and held the first training sessions. Among the national team are both experienced players and young futsal players who made it to the national team for the first time,” said Oleksandr Zolotukhin.
There are also news about the successes of the Ukrainian national football team. The team scored two goals in the match against Iceland, continuing the fight for qualification for the World Cup.
The celebratory mood will continue as Ukrainian athletes achieved an important victory over Azerbaijan in the World Cup qualifiers. In the second round of qualifying, the team competed against Azerbaijan and finished the match in a draw.
On a final note. During the match against France in the World Cup 2026 qualifiers, Ukrainian fans supported the team by unfurling a banner reading “Fortress of Europe.”
