A new bus route has been launched in Uzhhorod

In Uzhhorod, a decision was made to launch a new bus route No. 23, which is intended to improve communication between remote areas of the city, the center, and the bus station. The relevant decision was made on December 10 at a meeting of the executive committee of the city council. This is reported by Uzhgorod.net.ua.

The new route will run from Tyutyunova Street through Zaharivska, Bobyaka, Lehotskyi, Heroes of the 128th Brigade, Hrushevskyi, the bus station to Sandor Petofi Square and back. It is expected to be convenient for residents of the outskirts, students, and passengers who travel to the city center or to the station every day.

Route No. 23 will pass through the following main locations:

  • Tyutyunova Street

  • Zaharivska

  • Bobyaka

  • Lehotskyi

  • Heroes of the 128th Brigade

  • Hrushevskyi

  • bus station

  • Sandor Petofi Square.

The city council notes that this connection is expected to partially relieve existing routes and make trips around the city more comfortable.

Further plans of the city authorities

It is also reported that earlier in Uzhhorod, another route No. 26A from the Gorjani neighborhood to UzhNU was approved, which will pass through Sandor Petofi Square and is currently awaiting a carrier competition. In addition, the city plans to restore three more bus routes.

The city hall emphasizes that the issue of increasing the fare is not currently being considered. The price of a ticket on buses will remain at 15 hryvnias.

Earlier, we reported that in Uzhhorod they want to raise the fare to 18 hryvnias.
