The participation of the President of the NOC of Ukraine, Olympic champion Vadym Hutsait, in the reporting and election conference of the NOC of Ukraine in the Donetsk region was a symbolic event. The event took place on the day when the regional branch celebrates its 31st anniversary.
During the conference, Vadym Hutsait noted the resilience of the head of the branch and his team, highlighting their principled Ukrainian position and systematic work. The President of the NOC of Ukraine expressed gratitude for combining service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the development of the Olympic movement and emphasized that Donetsk region has always been and remains a region of strong people and sporting traditions.
“Even in the extremely difficult conditions of full-scale war, the sports community of Donetsk continues to work, educate the youth, and develop the Olympic movement,” noted Vadym Hutsait.
The head of the NOC of Ukraine in the Donetsk region, Viktor Remskyi, also expressed gratitude to the President of the NOC of Ukraine for support and access to the Olympic house for the sports family of Donetsk. After hearing the report, the branch's activities in the previous period were recognized as satisfactory, and the head of the NOC of Ukraine in the Donetsk region, Viktor Remskyi, was re-elected for the next term.
