The case of bribery of deputies: what is being accused
Earlier, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office informed Tymoshenko about the suspicion of attempting to bribe several parliamentarians to influence voting and destabilize the parliamentary majority. According to the investigation, a key role in documenting was played by a people's deputy who acted as a whistleblower and provided law enforcement with recorded conversations.
Tymoshenko herself denies the accusations and calls the case politically motivated. She stated that the audio recordings are falsified and that the actions of law enforcement are an element of pressure on the opposition.
Restrictions on contacts with dozens of deputies may affect the functioning of the Verkhovna Rada and the configuration of voting in the near future.
Recall that earlier Yulia Tymoshenko stated in the session hall of the Verkhovna Rada the groundlessness of the accusations made by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP), which were the cause of the searches in her office and the office of MP Serhiy Vlasenko. According to her, the actions of law enforcement are illegal.
