The forecast for the currency market at the beginning of October will be characterized by minor changes in exchange rates, and the demand for currency units, particularly the dollar and euro, will not increase. This opinion was expressed by Taras Lesovyi, Director of the Department of Financial Markets and Investment Activities of Globus Bank.

He believes that next week the overall situation in the currency market will remain stable, staying within the trends of August and September. The official dollar exchange rate will stay below 42 hryvnias, which is 1.2-1.9% lower than at the beginning of the year.

As for the euro, its exchange rate prospects depend on changes in the global conjuncture, and predicting its behavior is difficult, noted Taras Lesovyi. Decisions by the European Central Bank and the Federal Reserve System of the USA can affect the stability of the dollar-euro ratio.

It is expected that the market will be characterized by sluggish changes in exchange rates, and the dollar-euro ratio will remain stable. Preliminary estimates indicate that exchange rate fluctuations will not be substantial, and transitioning from one currency to another will not be beneficial.
