The streaming service Netflix has increased the price of all plans as of March 26. The changes affect both new users and those who already have a subscription. This is reported by "Variety".

The company has updated prices on all packages. Now users will pay more regardless of the chosen subscription level.
The current rates are as follows:

basic ad-supported plan - $8.99 per month (was $7.99)

standard plan - $19.99 per month (was $17.99)

premium plan - $26.99 per month (was $24.99).
The company explained the increase as a necessity to invest in content and improve service. Netflix stated:
«We continue to offer various pricing plans, and as we expand capabilities, we update prices to invest in quality entertainment».
Netflix price increase: how it will affect users
New prices are already being applied for new subscribers. Those who have been using the service for a long time will receive an email notification about a month before the changes.
The increase will happen gradually and will depend on each user's billing cycle.

This is already the second price increase for Netflix in a year.
Amid changes surrounding the service, there have also been discussions regarding the content. In particular, Ukrainian model Kateryna Bylyk refused to participate in the platform's project due to what she stated was a stereotypical portrayal of women from Eastern Europe.
It should be noted that the movie "Sharp Caps: Immortal" has already premiered on Netflix.
