Vyshhorod - Kyiv travel: new fare and passenger reactions
According to the published information, the cost of the trip from Vyshhorod to the capital is 60 UAH. Also, some routes involve a payment of 30 UAH for short trips, in particular to the hospital on Bohatyrska Street.
Blogger Iryna Vayter, who was the first to draw attention to the fare change, emotionally commented on the situation:
'Sorry, this is no longer funny'.
On social media, users actively discuss the increase in travel costs. Some passengers are outraged by the prices, comparing them to tariffs for public transport in Kyiv, where a trip can cost significantly less.
Minibus prices to Kyiv: where it's most expensive to travel
As it turned out, Vyshhorod is no longer the most expensive route. According to social media users, prices on other routes are even higher:
Boryspil - Metro 'Livoberezhna': 130 UAH
Vishneve - Metro 'Vystavkovyi tsentr': 100 UAH
Obukhiv - Kyiv: 100 UAH
Boiarka - Kyiv: 100 UAH
Irpin - Kyiv: 80 UAH.
In the comments, passengers note that such tariffs seem disproportionate compared to city transport. Meanwhile, other users remind about the rise in fuel prices, which affects the cost of transportation.
Some commenters predict further increases in fares and suggest that by summer, prices on most suburban routes may stabilize at around 100 UAH.
It should be noted that starting from March 13, three new low-floor trams produced by LLC 'Tatra-Yug' began operating on tram route No. 27 in Kyiv.
