Change of leadership of the Security Service of Ukraine

Vasyl Maliuk leaves the position of head of the Security Service of Ukraine. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky thanked him for his combat work and suggested continuing to engage in asymmetric operations. Maliuk, who led the Security Service, received a new task related to the implementation of asymmetric special operations at the global level.

Vasyl Maliuk's Address

In his address, Vasyl Maliuk confirmed that he is leaving the position of head of the Security Service but will remain in the Security Service system:

“I am leaving the position of Head of the Security Service. I will remain in the Security Service system to implement global asymmetric special operations,”
he stated.

President Zelensky also emphasized the importance of developing asymmetric operations, adding that

“there should be more Ukrainian asymmetric operations against the occupier and the Russian state.”
This change in the leadership of the Security Service indicates a new course in the fight against aggression and underscores the strategic importance of asymmetric actions under modern conditions.

The change in the leadership of the Security Service of Ukraine may indicate the adaptation of strategies in response to new challenges, particularly aggression from Russia. Asymmetric operations, which will be implemented under Maliuk's leadership, can become an important element in the overall security context of the country, as they allow the use of unconventional approaches to achieve military and political goals. This, in turn, may strengthen Ukraine's positions on the international stage and in the fight against the aggressor.
