Workplace Gratitude Linked to a 47-Fold Improvement in Employee Well-Being

Вдячність на робочому місці сприяє значному підвищенню рівня задоволеності працівників.

National Wellness Month

Employee well-being has become a top priority for organizations worldwide, with research showing clear links to retention and productivity. A 2026 Engagement and Retention Report, based on surveys from 3,000 employees across eight global regions, reveals that workers who feel appreciated and engaged are 47 times more likely to report being supported in their overall wellness and 17 times more likely to envision a long-term future with their employer. August is designated as National Wellness Month, offering a natural opportunity for companies to promote healthy habits and reduce stress and burnout among their teams.

Wellness Program

In celebration of National Wellness Month, a five-week wellness program has been designed. Week one focuses on nutritional well-being, week two on mental and emotional health, week three on physical activity and ergonomics, week four on social and environmental connections, and week five on work-life balance and celebrations. The goal is to enhance employee well-being and cultivate a supportive workplace environment.

To successfully launch and sustain wellness initiatives, several recommendations are provided:

  • engage leadership,
  • develop a communication strategy,
  • offer rewards and track progress,
  • provide resources such as employee assistance programs (EAP), telemedicine, and health experts.

After August ends, companies are encouraged to maintain momentum with monthly mini-themes, including Sleep Week, Financial Well-being Week, and Mindfulness Month. Observing World Mental Health Day further underscores the importance of mental wellness in the workplace.

National Wellness Month highlights how prioritizing employee well-being boosts both productivity and job satisfaction. Organizations that implement health and wellness programs can reduce burnout, improve team morale, and ultimately retain top talent. With rising workplace stress, such initiatives are vital for business resilience.
