The United Kingdom will continue training Ukrainian troops
The United Kingdom plans to continue its training program for Ukrainian soldiers, which will help strengthen the army ahead of potential European and American security guarantees related to a possible peace agreement.
According to the UK Ministry of Defence, the Interflex program, which covers combat training and leadership skills training, will last at least until the end of 2026. More than 50,000 Ukrainian servicemen have already been trained under this program.
We will continue to increase our support along with our allies to make Ukraine stronger today and in the future, - said Defense Secretary John Hill. - In the face of the threat of Russian attacks, we must ensure the strongest possible position of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And while diplomatic efforts to achieve peace continue, we must make Ukrainians the most effective deterrent to guarantee this future stability.
The continuation of the training program demonstrates the long-term support of the West for Ukraine even in the event of possible peace negotiations.
NATO countries are actively supporting Ukraine in all areas, allowing Kyiv to strengthen the country's defense capabilities and prepare its troops for an effective response to any threats.
