Bill on National Resistance
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the bill No. 13347 on national resistance in the first reading, which provides for the preparation of the civilian population for national resistance. This bill was voted for by 246 members of parliament. Deputy Head of the President's Office Iryna Vereshchuk confirmed support for this bill, noting the importance of creating an effective system for preparing civilian citizens.
Preparation for National Resistance
Preparation for national resistance will be voluntary for various categories of citizens. As part of the implementation of the law, it is planned to deploy Training Centers across the country, which will be led by veterans with combat experience. These centers will have the right to use the property of state and local authorities, as well as to create shooting ranges and use firearms for training purposes.
Iryna Vereshchuk emphasized that the training system for national resistance is not just about war, but also about the readiness of civilian citizens to resist the enemy at any time.
The adoption of the bill on national resistance is an important step in strengthening the country’s defense capabilities in the face of modern challenges. Creating a training system for civilian citizens underscores the necessity of involving all segments of the population in defense and interacting with military structures. It also reflects the state's commitment to ensure security and readiness for possible threats in the future.
