The Supreme Court confirmed the legality of the seizure of unjustified assets. Specifically, the courts of the High Anti-Corruption Court satisfied the lawsuit of the SAP prosecutor to recognize the assets registered in the name of family members and relatives of the official of the State Migration Service as unjustified and to seize them for the benefit of the state.
It was about an apartment in Kyiv and 3 cars that were acquired by the relatives of the official in 2022-2023, but actually used by the official himself and his wife. The court decided to seize these assets for the benefit of the state, amounting to over 5 million UAH.
The lawsuit was supported based on materials from the National Agency for Corruption Prevention and evidence obtained by the prosecutor legally.
The decision of the Supreme Court is final and cannot be appealed.
In conclusion, the Supreme Court recognized the legality of the seizure of assets acquired by the relatives of the official but actually used by the official himself and his wife for the benefit of the state.
