The Supreme Court of Ukraine has upheld the sentence for actor Ostap Stupka, confirming a three-year restriction of liberty and an eight-year driving ban. While driving a Range Rover, Stupka crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a parked Mitsubishi, resulting in injuries that required the victim's hospitalization.
A breathalyzer test at the scene recorded Stupka's blood alcohol level at 1.62 per mille, confirming he was driving under the influence. He was detained immediately following the crash. Similarly, in September 2018, the Solomianskyi District Court refrained from sentencing him for the same reason.
