Interior Ministry's 'I'm on the Team' Project
The Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched a new episode of its 'I'm on the Team' initiative, spotlighting veteran Volodymyr Dzhura. Despite a severe injury resulting in the loss of a limb, he now works as an administrator at the MVS Service Center in Zhytomyr. Volodymyr first joined Ukraine's defense forces in 2016 and was in Kharkiv for training when the full-scale invasion began.
Military Service and Life Journey
During his service, Volodymyr fought in battles across the Kharkiv region. He sustained a critical wound while evacuating equipment under enemy fire, which led to the amputation of a limb. Following the injury, he underwent an extensive period of medical treatment, rehabilitation, and prosthetic fitting. Today, Volodymyr assists citizens at the MVS Service Center in Zhytomyr with tasks such as:
- issuing driver's licenses,
- registering vehicles,
- and obtaining license plates.
This story highlights not only Volodymyr's courage but also the importance of supporting veterans who, despite severe trauma, continue to serve their communities. The 'I'm on the Team' project aims to raise awareness about veterans' contributions to the nation's recovery and their role in modern society, demonstrating that even after immense challenges, one can find new purpose and help others.
