The participants of the meeting conveyed to Boris Johnson the importance of a proper air defense system to protect energy infrastructure from Russian attacks. They shared personal experiences from combat operations and the process of restoring power plants that were damaged.
Boris Johnson stressed the importance of supporting Ukraine in its fight for freedom and acknowledged the great potential of the country. Veteran Andrey noted that without a proper air defense system and technical support, it is impossible to effectively protect the country's energy system.
The meeting is part of a global initiative to support the Ukrainian energy system, which is constantly under attack during the war. DTEK continues to restore critical infrastructure thanks to the cooperation with veterans who have returned to civilian life.
