Rector Election Date Shifted
Ukraine's Ministry of Education and Science has moved the election for the rector of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv from May 11, 2026, to October 27, 2026. This adjustment follows a formal request from the university's organizing committee, which identified technical and procedural inconsistencies needing resolution before the vote could proceed.
According to the Ministry, the committee flagged several issues, including conflicts between the university's internal regulations that require revision and approval by the Academic Council.
