An oil tanker exploded under an overpass on a highway in Mexico, causing a massive fire. As a result of the incident, three people died and 70 were injured. This was reported by Glavcom citing Associated Press.
It is noted that the truck was carrying nearly 50,000 liters of gasoline. Mexico City Mayor Clara Brugada called the explosion an 'emergency situation.' According to her, 18 vehicles were burned in the fire. All the injured were taken to the city's hospitals. The explosion occurred on one of the main highways leading from Mexico City to the city of Puebla.
