Gas Appliance Explosions in Ukraine
In the Obukhiv district, on December 29 at 17:18, a gas cylinder exploded in a private house, as a result of which a 71-year-old owner was injured. The man was attempting to light the stove using a gas cylinder, but as a result of the explosion, he ended up trapped under the rubble of his own home.
Neighbors who witnessed the event quickly rescued the victim from under the debris before emergency services arrived. Doctors promptly hospitalized the homeowner with burns and injuries he sustained during the explosion.
Another Incident in Brovary District
Additionally, in the Brovary district, another incident occurred when a boiler exploded during repair work. As a result of the explosion, a 69-year-old mechanic sustained serious injuries. He was hospitalized with thermal burns to his face, hands, and left shin, as well as with rib fractures and facial bone fractures of the skull.
These two cases highlight the dangers associated with the use of gas appliances and equipment, as well as the importance of adhering to safety rules during their operation.
