Explosion in Odesa: Ship Damaged by Mine (Video)

In Odesa, on the coastline, an explosion occurred, possibly due to the detonation of a cargo ship on a sea mine. The vessel sustained serious damage, and thick smoke is visible over its wreckage. This was reported by the publication 'Glavkom' citing Suspilne Odesa.


According to the spokesperson for the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Dmytro Pletenchuk, none of the crew members were harmed. Currently, an inspection of the ship is being conducted, and it is likely that it will be able to continue sailing on its own.



'We are doing everything necessary to ensure a safe level of civil shipping. However, despite this, sometimes such incidents can occur,' Pletenchuk noted.



Massive Attack on Odesa Region: Energy Infrastructure Damaged


Russian troops carried out an attack on the Odesa region using strike drones. The city of Chornomorsk and its surroundings sustained significant damage. This information was provided by 'Glavkom' citing the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleg Kiper.


As a result of the attack, the energy infrastructure was damaged, leaving over 29 thousand subscribers without electricity. Specialists have already begun restoration work on the power supply, and critical infrastructure facilities are operating on generators.
