The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has officially approved the updated list of teaching aids and equipment for the subject 'Defense of Ukraine' in general secondary education institutions. This was reported by the press service of the ministry.
The new list includes modern technological equipment for practical training. Schools will receive simulators for managing FPV-type drones with computers, interactive laser shooting simulators, and tablets for education. Modern multimedia equipment is also provided to ensure a quality educational process.
Personal protective equipment includes updated helmets and bulletproof vests, gas masks with quality certificates, and chemical protection means. Among the technical tools for practical training are drones, radios for learning the basics of communication, and elements of a training course.
According to representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science, the updated equipment will allow students to learn first aid skills, prepare them for using modern technologies in the field of security, develop critical thinking and resilience to disinformation, and form practical skills for actions in emergency situations.
The subject 'Defense of Ukraine' underwent radical changes in 2024. Instead of formal drill, students now undergo intensive 6–8-hour practical training once a month in specially equipped centers. The program covers first aid, drone management, cybersecurity, countering disinformation, and actions in emergency situations.
