In the 2024/25 marketing year, Ukraine exported 71.3 thousand tons of flour abroad. This was reported by the organization 'Milling Industry of Ukraine'.
'During the 2024/25 marketing year, Ukrainian producers exported 66.7 thousand tons of wheat flour. This figure is lower than in the previous season, when 92.5 thousand tons were sent,' the report notes.
According to the organization's information, more than 46% of the total volume of flour exports from Ukraine in the 2024/25 season went to European Union countries. Among the TOP-5 importing countries of Ukrainian flour are Moldova (20.3 thousand tons), Czech Republic (15.3 thousand tons), Palestine (10.8 thousand tons), France (3.0 thousand tons), and Spain (2.9 thousand tons).
The volume of exports of other types of flour in the 2024/25 season amounted to 4.6 thousand tons (compared to 5.4 thousand tons in the 2023/24 marketing year). The share of EU countries in this figure was 14% (compared to 27% in the previous season). The TOP-5 importing countries of other types of flour in the 2024/25 marketing year included Moldova (3.2 thousand tons), Israel (0.5 thousand tons), Croatia (0.2 thousand tons), Bulgaria, and Spain (0.1 thousand tons each).
Ukraine sent less flour abroad compared to the previous season, but the amount of exported product remains substantial. EU countries are important partners for Ukrainian producers, but there are also other countries that actively import Ukrainian flour.
