Ukraine's military estimates that Moscow has lost roughly 1,476,580 personnel from the start of the full-scale invasion on 24 February 2022 through 23 August 2026. Of that total, 1,310 casualties were recorded in the latest 24-hour period. These tallies, issued in regular updates by the Ukrainian side, have become a key measure of the war's brutal toll.
