Situation on the border of Ukraine with Belarus and Russia
Currently, no formation of assault groups or active provocations has been recorded on the northern border with Belarus; however, the direction remains threatening and is under continuous strengthening.
Meanwhile, the situation on the border with Russia remains tense due to constant shelling and aerial attacks, stated Andriy Demchenko, spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, during the telethon 'Unified News'.
'Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, this direction has a special priority. We are strengthening fortifications along the entire section from Volyn to Chernihiv. This includes engineering works, additional mining of the most threatening directions, and fortifications to ensure that every soldier has the means to counter threats,' emphasized Demchenko.
According to him, no significant movements or formations of groups have been recorded on the border with Belarus, but the situation is assessed daily. On the other hand, in the eastern sectors, particularly in Sumy and Kharkiv regions, Russia does not reduce the intensity of attacks.
'We are dealing with artillery shelling, extensive use of drones, including FPV, as well as aerial strikes with guided bombs and missiles. In certain sections, such as in Sumy region and near Vovchansk, the enemy is using the tactics of small diversionary groups,' reported the spokesperson.
Demchenko stressed that the task of the Ukrainian defense forces is to prevent the advance of the enemy and not give them the opportunity to expand combat operations along the entire border.
The reinforcement of the northern border is taking place as part of the overall strategy for preparing for possible threats, despite the absence of direct signs of preparations for an offensive by Belarus.
It is emphasized that the situation on the border of Ukraine with Belarus and Russia remains tense. The intensity of shelling and attacks in the eastern sections of the border continues to grow, and the Ukrainian troops are taking measures to ensure security and prevent the advance of the enemy.
