Today, another meeting of the Coordination Headquarters took place, chaired by Deputy Minister Oleksiy Ryabikin. The main issue discussed was the situation in the communities located near the Pechenizke Reservoir.
Meeting participants emphasized that the situation in the Kharkiv region is currently stable, thus no evacuation measures are needed.
The Ministry of Development and local authorities continue to work on improving coordination between services for effective action in emergency situations.
Technical aspects and plans
One aspect of the planning is the possibility of creating transit centers in Poltava, Kyiv, and Zhytomyr regions for the temporary accommodation of citizens if necessary.
Also under consideration is the increase in the number of railway trips to ensure uninterrupted transport logistics.
Improving collaboration between services has been made possible by the establishment of a working group at the Ministry of Development.
"It is important to act in a timely and coordinated manner. This ensures the effective functioning of state bodies at all levels. Specialized services continue to constantly monitor the water level in the Pechenizke Reservoir; the situation is currently under control. All communities cooperate with the Ministry of Development and the Kharkiv regional authorities, and the issues of protection and the functioning of infrastructure are under constant supervision of the authorities."
— noted Oleksiy Ryabikin.
As a result of the Coordination Headquarters meeting, it became clear that the situation in the communities around the reservoir remains controlled, and the authorities continue to work on improving the response system to potential emergency situations. Plans for the temporary relocation of citizens and logistics support the overall context of readiness for possible risks and quick response to them.
