Video Identification for Pensioners: How Long the Procedure Takes
The Press Service of the Pension Fund of Ukraine reported that the duration of video identification for pensioners averages about 20 minutes. This procedure is regulated by the Order approved by the Resolution of the Board of the Pension Fund of Ukraine No. 20-20.
During the video conference, an authorized employee of the Pension Fund checks the pensioner's documents, which is an important element of the identification process. It is worth noting that the Pension Fund of Ukraine is not allowed to request bank details or financial information during the video call, which provides an additional level of protection for pensioners' personal data.
Advantages of Video Identification
In addition, the appendix to the Order contains a list of possible questions that may arise during video identification. This allows pensioners to prepare for the procedure and know what to expect. Thus, video identification becomes a convenient and secure way to confirm identity for receiving pension payments.
The introduction of video identification is an important step in modernizing the process of receiving pension payments, as it allows pensioners to avoid the need for personal visits to the institution. It also contributes to increasing the level of security of personal data, as it limits requests for financial information. In the context of the digitalization of state services, such innovations can greatly simplify the lives of pensioners, especially in conditions of limited access to physical institutions.
