Current Conditions in Dnipropetrovsk and Other Frontline Areas
A coordination meeting was held to address the situation in Dnipropetrovsk region, Kyiv, and other communities near the frontlines. Repair efforts are ongoing in Dnipropetrovsk following recent attacks that caused power outages in cities such as Dnipro, Pavlohrad, Kamianske, and others. At the peak of these disruptions, over 600,000 consumers—including residents, businesses, and critical infrastructure facilities—were left without electricity. Power supply is now gradually being restored.
The discussion also covered conditions in Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and other frontline areas. Key participants included the Prime Minister, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, and the Minister of Internal Affairs. They presented plans for alternative transport routes in Kyiv. Preparations are underway to secure the necessary number of vehicles and reorganize traffic flow in certain parts of the capital. The government has been tasked with ensuring the uninterrupted operation of Kyiv’s surface public transport in case of metro service disruptions or issues with bridges over the Dnipro River.
Support Measures and Expressions of Gratitude
The Prime Minister was instructed to introduce a free public transport program on Kyiv’s surface routes and to maintain a sufficient reserve of buses for the city. Additionally, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Presidential Office’s diplomatic team have been assigned responsibilities ahead of upcoming international events. These efforts include preparing new energy aid packages for Ukraine and additional financial support tools to assist citizens during the winter season.
During the meeting, President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his sincere appreciation to all repair crews and energy workers involved in restoring electricity.
“My thanks go to every repair team, every energy specialist, and all the services involved,” he stated.
He also acknowledged the valuable proposals made during the meeting and extended his gratitude to all attendees, concluding with: “Glory to Ukraine!”
This meeting highlights the Ukrainian government's dedication to rebuilding vital infrastructure and supporting the population amid ongoing armed conflict. The focus on backup transportation plans for the capital and comprehensive support measures underscores the priority of maintaining safety and convenience for citizens. Restoring electricity and preparing for the winter months remain critical tasks requiring coordinated efforts across government agencies.
