Restoration of Medical Infrastructure: Tenders Presented in Five Regions

The Ministry of Health of Ukraine has presented plans for the restoration of medical infrastructure in five regions of the country, which will receive funding from the World Bank.


According to information from the Ministry of Health, funds for the implementation of projects will come from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) and the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) under the HEAL Ukraine initiative.



The Ministry of Health has already announced a tender for work that includes the major renovation of the central building of the Kozelets Intensive Care Hospital (Chernihiv region) and the reconstruction of the surgical building of the Central City Hospital in Rivne.


In addition, tenders are planned for the restoration of the Mykolaiv Regional Children's Clinical Hospital and the construction of a treatment-rehabilitation building with a children's mental health center in the Volyn Regional Territorial Medical Association for the Protection of Motherhood and Childhood.


The joint project of the Ministry of Health and the World Bank Heal Ukraine aims to improve access to medical services and financial protection in emergency situations.



Conclusion: The Ministry of Health of Ukraine has begun the implementation of the project for the restoration of medical infrastructure in five regions of the country with the support of the World Bank. A number of improvements in medical institutions are planned, which will contribute to better provision of medical services to citizens and ensure financial stability in emergency situations.
