Vacation in Italy for hundreds of tourists turned into hell - 600 people were evacuated after a forest fire broke out near the resort in Tuscany. In the south of the country, two tourist camps were destroyed by fire, and four people were injured. This is reported by 'Glavcom' citing observatornews.ro.

The fire in Tuscany broke out near the resort of Castiglione della Pescaia. The flames, fueled by gusts of wind, quickly spread and destroyed a hectare of forest. More than 18 thousand people were isolated due to wildfires in Catalonia, 600 tourists were urgently evacuated and spent the night in one of the gyms, and four firefighting helicopters managed to extinguish the flames.

Firefighters battled a strong vegetation fire in the tourist area south of Bari. Residents of one of the villages were urgently evacuated.

Southern France also suffered from wildfires. The tourist town of Argeles in southwestern France has also been engulfed in flames. A large forest fire broke out along the coast. More than 350 people left their homes, fearing the flames driven by strong winds. More than 90 firefighters were mobilized, and together with a team of Romanian firefighters, they managed to put out the flames.

We recall a similar situation with fires in Turkey. Currently, the main blow from the wildfires has hit Izmir and the neighboring resort of Cesme. A total of more than 50 thousand people were evacuated, and airports and roads were closed. There have been more than 250 fires in the country in a week, and the threat of the fire spreading remains. Reports of outbreaks are even coming from the resort of Antalya, where several hotels with tourists were also evacuated.

By the way, on Sunday, July 13, a wheat field in Kharkiv region was set on fire as a result of a Russian strike. According to the State Emergency Service, on July 13, Russian aviation delivered another treacherous blow. The bread field near the village of Shevchenkove, located in the Kupiansk district, was targeted by the occupying army.

Several tourist towns in southwestern Europe found themselves at the center of wildfires, leading to evacuations and the destruction of tourist camps. At the same time, rescue operations and the cessation of the spread of fire occurred thanks to the joint efforts of firefighters and local teams.
