A scandal has erupted surrounding the renovation of the park by the lakes in Kyiv due to suspicion of official negligence against an official of Kyivzelenbud. According to the Dnipro District Prosecutor's Office, during the conclusion of the contract for the renovation, an overpayment for building materials of more than 2 million hryvnias was discovered, causing losses to the city budget.
The head of the department signed a contract with a contracting company but inflated prices for materials, which led to financial losses for the city, reported the press service of the city prosecutor's office. The case is currently under consideration in court, and the guilty party may face serious consequences for their actions.
