From 2026, the minimum salary for booking will increase: new amount

From January 1, 2026, new salary requirements for military conscription employees will be in effect in Ukraine. Now employers must guarantee no less than 20,000 hryvnias per month, but starting next year, this amount will increase to 21,600 hryvnias.

According to TSN, this change is related to the draft state budget for 2026, which provides for an increase in the minimum salary to 8,647 hryvnias. At critically important enterprises, the salary of military conscription employees must be at least 2.5 times the minimum wage.

Thus, starting in January, the necessary deductions to maintain a deferral from mobilization will amount to 21,617 hryvnias per month (8,647 x 2.5 = 21,617.5), - explained the military service.

Lawyer Marina Bekalo noted that this increase in requirements is related to the adoption of the state budget. According to the booking rules, the salary of military conscription employees cannot be less than the minimum wage multiplied by a coefficient of 2.5. Companies that do not comply with these requirements will lose the right to booking, and their employees risk losing their deferral and being mobilized.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have already announced the first results of the work of the Territorial Recruitment Centers using body cameras.
