The government has introduced new rules for deferment from military mobilization in Ukraine. Now students and education workers have some restrictions on maintaining this benefit. This is in effect during the state of war, which will last until November 5.
The right to deferment remains for college students, but only under certain conditions. Students of higher educational institutions are granted deferment only for the duration of their studies. For graduate students and medical students, it is provided for full-time education.
Scientific and pedagogical workers also have new conditions for obtaining deferment from mobilization. This benefit is provided only to those who are actually pursuing a new level of education, studying within the established timelines, and necessarily in full-time form.
In addition, starting from September, video documentation of all actions by staff of territorial recruitment centers is required, and a law has been adopted regarding temporary reservation even for those liable for military service who do not have registration or are wanted.
Thus, Ukrainian citizens who have the right to deferment from mobilization must comply with the new conditions established by the government. This applies to students, education workers, graduate students, and scientific and pedagogical workers.
