Leaving Ukraine in 2026: what products are allowed to bring from Ukraine
Citizens planning to leave Ukraine for abroad in 2026 must adhere to customs regulations regarding food products to avoid confiscations and fines. Before departure, it is important to check baggage and comply with the established limits on the export of certain goods.
Allowed products for export
One person is allowed to export:
- up to 2 kg of chocolate, honey, baked goods, and pasta;
- up to 20 kg of fresh processed fish or one fish if its weight exceeds this limit;
- up to 125 g of black caviar;
- up to 5 kg of baby food for those with small children;
- up to 2 kg of pet food;
- up to 500 g of coffee and up to 100 g of tea.
On the other hand, there are certain restrictions on the import of products to the European Union countries. In particular, the following are prohibited:
- meat and meat products;
- milk and dairy products;
- lard, sausages, homemade and industrial meat cans;
- cheese, butter, and condensed milk.
Additionally, for snacks while traveling, it is allowed to have products weighing no more than 2 kg per person.
Limits on excise goods
Traveling citizens must consider the limits on excise goods. As of 2025, an adult is allowed to bring to Poland only:
- 40 cigarettes or 50 g of tobacco when traveling by land transport;
- 200 cigarettes for air travel;
- 1 liter of strong drinks;
- 2 liters of wine;
- 16 liters of beer;
- no more than 5 packages of medicinal products per person.
Considering these rules, it is important for Ukrainian citizens to plan their luggage in advance and familiarize themselves with the customs requirements of the destination countries.
