Right to leave for marriage registration
Military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have the right to leave for marriage registration, which lasts up to 10 days without monetary maintenance. The final decision on granting leave remains with the command, which may consider the combat situation.
To obtain leave, military personnel must submit a report addressed to the commander of their unit. Additionally, it is necessary to attach supporting documents to the report, such as a certificate from the civil registry office. This procedure is important for the official registration of marriage by military personnel who wish to exercise their right to leave during this special period.
Possibility of refusal to grant leave
The commander has the right to refuse to grant leave if necessary due to the combat situation. As Vyacheslav Kirda noted,
'This is the exclusive authority of the military unit command.'
Thus, it is important for military personnel to be prepared for possible changes in their plans, depending on the situation in the country.
This initiative highlights the importance of supporting the personal lives of military personnel in conditions of military operations. Taking into account the possibility of granting leave for such personal events as marriage registration demonstrates the state's commitment to the social protection of its citizens, even in difficult circumstances. However, military personnel must be ready to adapt their plans depending on the combat situation, which adds an additional level of stress to their lives.
