The residents of the front-line village of Stinky, near Chasiv Yar, were evacuated under cover of rain by armored vehicles. The conditions for evacuation became possible thanks to improved weather after almost a year of residents staying in basements due to constant attacks by Russian air bombs. The roads to the village were monitored by FPV drones.
The evacuation involved soldiers from the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade, who acted promptly, assessing the high risk to life in the war zone. After rescuing people, they felt relieved and thanked the military for their assistance.
We thought that everything would end quickly and didn't want to leave home at all. But when it got really bad, we started asking the soldiers: please take us away, because we can no longer stay. We sit in the cellar day and night. They brought us breakfast and bread. The soldiers did not offend us.
