Brave1 Market: A New Platform for Military Procurement
Over the past six months, Ukrainian military units have ordered 240,000 drones and other pieces of equipment through the Brave1 Market platform, using a system of combat bonuses. To date, more than 160,000 of these drones and other hardware items have already been delivered to the front lines. The average delivery time is remarkably short, at just 10 days, demonstrating a highly efficient supply chain.
Launched in August 2023, the Brave1 Market platform allows military units to procure equipment using special bonuses. Currently, over 400 different Ukrainian-made products are available for purchase with these credits, including:
- Drones
- Electronic warfare systems
- Ground-based robotic complexes
- Spare parts and components
Real-Time Feedback Between Soldiers and Manufacturers
A new "Manufacturer's Cabinet" feature has recently been added, enabling developers to track the battlefield performance of their equipment in real time. This initiative is part of a broader effort to rapidly integrate new technology into the war effort. The collaboration model is straightforward: soldiers use the equipment in combat, the state provides payment through the bonus system, and successful technologies are quickly scaled and delivered to the front.
This streamlined process signifies a major acceleration in cooperation between Ukraine's military and its domestic defense industry, which is crucial for maintaining battlefield effectiveness. The rapid adoption and supply of drones and other modern technologies provide a significant tactical advantage in the ongoing conflict. This innovative procurement model, born from necessity, could serve as a valuable case study for other nations looking to modernize military supply chains and foster closer ties between frontline troops and equipment developers.
