Georgii Khvistani, chief of staff for the unmanned systems battalion of the 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade, posted a video criticizing the situation. He noted that Kyiv's annual two-month spring cleanup campaign is underway and is scheduled to last until May 15. This critique highlights the ongoing challenges Ukrainian cities face in maintaining infrastructure and public services amidst the conflict.
Georgii Khvistani, originally from Kherson, served in the Ukrainian Armed Forces from 2011 to 2018 and rejoined the army in February 2022 following the full-scale invasion. He arrived in Kyiv for a one-day assignment. During his short stay, Khvistani observed that 'the capital looks dirtier during the war than cities near the front lines.'
