In the year from January to August 2025, taxpayers in Ukraine contributed over 100 billion hryvnias in military levy to support the army. This figure is a poignant testimony to the patriotism of the country's citizens.
As of now, the total amount of payments to support the armed forces has increased fourfold compared to the previous year, reaching a level of +75.2 billion hryvnias. The leaders in terms of the volume of paid funds were residents of Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Lviv, and Kharkiv regions.
'The growth in revenue is due to the increase in the military levy rate to 5% starting from December 1, 2024, and the conscientious and timely payment of the levy by taxpayers,' explained the State Tax Service.
It is also worth noting that individuals who are on military service are exempt from paying the military levy during their service period. This is important support for military personnel, which is automatically applied based on relevant data.
Overall, support for the army in Ukraine is high, which is a good sign for the country amid the escalation of geopolitical tensions.
