A Patriotic Sporting Event at the Vinnytsia Lyceum
The Nazarii Hryntsevych Lyceum in Vinnytsia has earned a place in the Book of Records of Ukraine after breaking a national record during a large-scale athletic and patriotic event. Marking the second anniversary of the death of Hero of Ukraine Nazarii Hryntsevych, one hundred students simultaneously completed a 5-kilometer run.
This was the first event of its kind within the Ministry of Internal Affairs system to be carried out on such a grand scale. Upon finishing the race, participants received commemorative medals.
Remember 'Grenka,' remember our Heroes, and never forget the price at which Ukraine is being won.

Why This Event Matters
Beyond showcasing patriotism among young people, this initiative helped strengthen the sense of unity within the lyceum's student body. Honoring Nazarii Hryntsevych’s memory through a sporting challenge highlights the role of patriotism and solidarity in modern Ukrainian society.
Setting a record during such an event could inspire other educational institutions across Ukraine to launch similar initiatives.
In addition to celebrating athletic achievements, the event also underscores the importance of recognizing those who have served the nation. Recently, awards were presented to infantry soldiers by President Zelenskyy, highlighting the ongoing commitment to honor the sacrifices of Ukraine's heroes. Such actions further reinforce the spirit of patriotism that events like the 5K run aim to instill in the younger generation.
