Delay in Childbirth Payments Resolved
Denis Ulyutin, Ukraine’s Minister of Social Policy, has confirmed that a technical glitch delaying the 7,000 UAH childbirth payment has been fixed. The issue stemmed from complications with opening bank accounts. Funds have now been transferred to financial institutions and are expected to reach recipients shortly.

During a speech in the Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine’s parliament), Ulyutin also outlined plans to introduce a single card for all child-related benefits. This card will consolidate:
- allowances for children up to one year old,
- funds for the baby box program,
- and other state support schemes.
Additionally, a digital solution is being developed to allow online applications through the Diia mobile app, with a launch expected in May.
Parliament has passed Law No. 13532, which overhauls the framework for state family support. Under this law, the one-time childbirth benefit has been raised to 50,000 UAH. A monthly payment of 7,000 UAH is now provided until the child turns one year old. Furthermore, the eYasla program introduces a monthly subsidy of 8,000 UAH for working parents with children aged 1 to 3.
“All system flaws have now been resolved. The funds have been transferred to financial institutions, and they should reach recipients directly very soon,” said Denis Ulyutin.
These changes aim to strengthen financial support for families with children in Ukraine. By streamlining payments and introducing a unified card for child benefits, alongside online applications via Diia, the government seeks to make state aid more accessible. This is expected to improve family well-being and encourage more births.
