IDP payments are canceled: a new type of assistance up to 24 thousand is proposed instead

The government has changed the criteria for providing assistance to internally displaced persons, leading to a reduction in recipients by more than a million. According to the representative of the Ministry of Social Policy, Daria Marchak, this initiative aims to ensure a balance in the provision of assistance to avoid encouraging idleness among families.

However, the most vulnerable categories of internally displaced persons, particularly pensioners, the disabled, single mothers with children, and families unable to send their children to school, will continue to receive assistance, as they have low incomes and a real need for support. The government demands independence from full families with two working parents, encouraging them to seek employment and integrate into society. In addition to direct payments, alternative support mechanisms are being developed to create conditions for the full integration of displaced persons into new communities.
