The list of the best classical universities includes the following 10 institutions:
- KNU named after Taras Shevchenko;
- LNU named after Ivan Franko;
- KhNU named after Karazin;
- KNU named after Vasyl Stefanyk;
- ChNU named after Yuriy Fedkovych;
- The National University 'Kyiv-Mohyla Academy';
- ONU named after Mechnikov;
- UzhNU;
- DNU named after Oles Honchar;
- SumDU.
