Two of the five deputies received bail amounts of 40 million hryvnias and 30 million hryvnias, respectively. All suspects have been assigned procedural obligations, including wearing electronic control devices.

The actions of the Members of Parliament have been qualified under part 3 of article 28 and part 4 of article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The figures in the case are the Members of Parliament:

  • Yevhen Pyvovarov
  • Igor Negulevsky
  • Olha Savchenko

On December 27, 2023, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) reported the exposure of an organized criminal group involving the aforementioned deputies. It is worth noting that employees of the State Protection Department resisted the Bureau's staff during investigative actions.

This case underscores the importance of fighting corruption in Ukraine, especially among officials who have significant influence over legislative processes.

The preventive measures taken indicate the seriousness of the charges and the intentions of law enforcement agencies to ensure accountability for corrupt actions. The further development of this case could significantly impact the political climate in the country and the citizens' trust in state institutions.
