Increase in contracts for Ukrainian manufacturers for the Ministry of Defense
'The Defense Procurement Agency' of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported that from January to July 2025, contracts worth 158 billion hryvnias were signed with Ukrainian producers, which is more than during the same period last year. According to these data, the share of domestically produced weapons in total purchases reached 71.4%, which is a significant improvement compared to previous indicators.
According to the director of the Aoz Arsen Jumadilov, this growth is the result of systematic work and a revision of the procurement policy. He emphasized: 'Systematic approach yields results. When there are clear rules and a comprehensible logic of interaction, manufacturers scale up. The growth of contracts with Ukrainian enterprises is the result of restructuring the procurement architecture.'
A special importance in the procurement for the Ministry of Defense is attached to the direction of unmanned systems. More than 95% of funds allocated for these purposes are directed to Ukrainian manufacturers, giving priority to local production.
Ukrainian weapons manufacturers are getting more contracts with the Ministry of Defense, indicating a positive trend in the development of the country's defense industry. Systematic work and support for local producers help strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities and contribute to its independence in military production.
