According to a Codes study, in 2025, the expenses of Ukrainian families for preparing children for school have increased by a quarter compared to the previous year. Depending on the grade level, parents will have to spend between 3,000 and 10,000 hryvnias.
- The most expensive is preparing first-graders - about 10,000 hryvnias due to the necessity of buying all items for the first time.
- For students in grades 5-9, expenses amount to approximately 7,000 hryvnias, as some subjects and items can be kept from the previous year, but new clothes and shoes are still necessary.
- Graduates need to spend the least - 3,000 hryvnias, with the main expenses associated with stationery and partial clothing updates.
Experts note: 'The cancellation of the single school uniform in 2019 helps families save money.'
