Vladyslav Kabayev Pens New Dynamo Kyiv Contract

Winger Vladyslav Kabayev has signed a new contract with Dynamo Kyiv, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2028. This extension comes during a successful period for the player, whose previous deal was set to expire at the end of the 2023/24 season. Securing the future of key players like Kabayev is a priority for Dynamo as they aim to rebuild their domestic dominance.

Kabayev joined Dynamo in the summer of 2022 from Zorya Luhansk for a transfer fee of €1.2 million, having previously played for Chornomorets Odesa. So far this season, the midfielder has made 24 appearances across all competitions, scoring 2 goals and providing 3 assists, though he has recently missed the start of the spring campaign due to an ankle injury.

Team Form and Ambitions

Dynamo Kyiv currently sits in fourth place in the Ukrainian Premier League table. The team recently secured an away victory over Oleksandriya, with goals scored by:

  • Yarmolenko
  • Yatsyk
  • Voloshyn
  • Redushko
  • Ponomarenko

In the Ukrainian Cup semi-finals, Dynamo will face Bukovyna Chernivtsi, while the other semi-final will be contested between Metalist 1925 Kharkiv and Chernihiv.

Kabayev's new contract signals Dynamo's intent to retain its core talent as the club seeks stability and success in the coming seasons.

Amidst fierce competition both domestically and in European football, the club is focused on strengthening its squad to achieve better results. Their progression to the Ukrainian Cup semi-finals further underscores Dynamo's ambitions to succeed in national competitions.
